Fall colors are beginning to show a bit early in eastern North Dakota as a manifest freight heads westward from Fargo behind a nice mix of modern power.
The entire BNSF coal train can be seen on the Tehachapi Loop. The head end is about to duck into Tunnel 9. Both head end and DPU's have a warbonnet scheme locomotive in the consist.
A loaded northbound unit coal train glides around the Loop with a pair of warbonnets, one on the front and the other on the rear.
